HIV Prevention Alliance – Endorse the Call to Action

The HIV Prevention Alliance processes your personal data in the context of its call to action activities and your endorsement.

1. Who processes your personal data (Data Controller)?

The data controller is HIV Prevention Alliance Secretariat, managed by FIPRA International, responsible for determining the purposes and means of processing your personal data.  

2. What is the purpose of the processing of your personal data?

Your personal data is processed to:

  • Record and manage your endorsement of the call to action.
  • Communicate updates and relevant information about HIV prevention initiatives.
  • Ensure transparency and accountability in advocacy activities.

3. What is the legal basis for the processing?

Processing is based on:

  • Your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR) for endorsement and communication purposes
  • Legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) in promoting HIV prevention advocacy

4. What personal data do we process?

We may process:

  • Identification details (name, organisation, role)
  • Contact details (email address, phone number)
  • Your endorsement statement and related preferences

5. Who are the recipients of your data?

Your data may be shared with:

  • Internal staff managing the call to action
  • Partner organisations involved in HIV prevention advocacy (only where necessary and under confidentiality agreements)

6. How long will your personal data be stored?

Your data will be retained for the duration of the campaign, unless you request earlier deletion.

7. Will your personal data be shared with a non-EU country or international organisation?

Your data will not be transferred outside the EU.

8. Are any automated processes and/or profiling used to make decisions which could affect you?

No automated decision-making or profiling is carried out. 

9. What are your rights and how can you exercise them?

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Erase your personal data
  • Restrict processing
  • Data portability
  • Object to processing carried out under Article 6(1)(f)

You may withdraw your consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
